Haig Park Experiments is consulting local First Nations Elders to determine opportunities to reconnect the site with its indigenous heritage. This will inform a variety of community-driven activities that acknowledge and celebrate the ongoing relationship between First Nations People and Country, even when landscapes have been significantly altered.

There is limited general public awareness of the First Nations People relationship with the area of Haig Park.

Hypothesis:
Consultation and community engagement supports self-determination for First Nations People and can enable meaningful opportunities to continue ongoing reconciliation.

Create first steps towards an ongoing recognition and engagement with First Nations People history and contemporary culture in the Haig Park area.
