Park area between Northbourne Ave and Torrens St

There are currently few reasons to visit and stay in Haig Park. The area is a compelling and unique space for artists to respond to.

Creating opportunities for people to have positive and unique interactions in Haig Park could assist in building positive associations and cultivate return visitation.

Favourable outcomes

Temporary public art will enliven Haig Park’s landscape and provide reasons for people to visit and explore the area.

‘Public art exhibition’ news

Public art exhibition / Public art update
Monday, 02 September 2019 .
We ran two workshops and a public art event with light painting photographer Peter Solness from 29-31 August. The events were sold out and generated an incredible amount of buzz on social media. Through light painting photography, we invited the public to see Haig Park in ‘a different light’ - especially at night. These events were a great success with many attendees posting their photos afterwards on social media.

Public art exhibition / Public art update
Sunday, 14 July 2019 .
A range of local artists are being commissioned to create installations for this experiment. The installations will be displayed at pop-up activations spread throughout the program.
